An important and emotional exhibition dedicated to the heroes of the defense of Mariupol was opened at the S. Z. Gzhytsky Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology.
The event was attended by a student body who was told about the content and purpose of the photo exhibition, its importance for preserving historical memory and forming the patriotic consciousness of young people.
The Kvyatkovsky Family Foundation, together with the author of the project “Eyes of Mariupol” Anastasia Dmytruk, created photo stands dedicated to the AZOV soldiers who held the defense of Azovstal for 86 days.
📌 The purpose of the exhibition
- popularization of the courage of Ukrainian defenders;
- support of the topic of captured defenders of Mariupol in the information space;
- formation of a responsible, conscious, patriotic young generation.
The stands feature pages from the book "Eyes of Mariupol" - photographs of Azov residents, excerpts from their correspondence with their relatives during the siege, dreams, experiences and hopes. This is the living voice of those who survived, died, or are still in captivity.
To mark the anniversary of the tragedy in Olenivka, a separate stand was created on military stretchers - with the names of 53 victims, treacherously killed on the night of July 28-29, 2022.
The exhibition is designed to help students more deeply experience the events of the defense of Azovstal, realize the scale of heroism and the importance of preserving national memory.
